PAD Consultancy and Training

My expertise lies in supporting school leadership teams as they strive to improve outcomes for their pupils. I draw on a vast experience, which includes fourteen years as a primary school head teacher. I led the school through four successful Ofsted inspections before moving on to an associate headship, with a requirement to develop a new leadership team and prepare the school for an imminent inspection.

For 8 years I have worked as a school improvement partner in two different authorities, providing challenge and support for both outstanding schools and those in special measures. I have provided intensive support for the new leadership team of a large primary school, serving a population with a high proportion of minor ethnic groups, to raise attainment and progress, to improve the quality of teaching and to develop the capacity of leadership and management to provide a good quality of education. The school is now out of Special Measures and although improvement is still required, the quality of teaching, leadership and management was judged to be good in April 2013.

I have an enthusiasm for learning and a desire to further my knowledge and expertise to enable me to challenge and support colleagues even more effectively. It is for this reason that I chose to complete the MA in Process Consultancy with The Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL). I am also now employed as an associate consultant by CEL, Leadership and Change. I deliver leadership programmes, including Primary Executive Headship, Leading for Results, and bespoke consultancy packages for individual schools and school networks. My work with Focus Education also gives me the experience of school-to–school collaboration and I have delivered training on the new curriculum in addition to working with leadership teams, class teachers and teaching assistants to improve the quality of teaching and pupil achievement.

I completed my training for school inspection in October 2012 and since then I have received positive feedback from schools, additional lead inspectors and HMI regarding my professionalism and personal competencies during the inspection process. My work as an inspector has greatly enhanced my skills in school improvement and has increased the level of support and challenge I am able to provide for schools and their leaders.

My work as a client-centred educational consultant, supporting leadership teams to evaluate their strengths and identify significant goals for managing change has been well received:
